With over 40 years in ministry, including pastoring 24 churches, planting 20 churches, and aiding in the restoration of others, Pastor Tony Smits (B.Th) brings a wealth of wisdom and experience to his work. Born in Holland in 1938 and having moved to Australia in 1952, he completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter and later became a sub-contractor. A transformative encounter with God in 1961 led him to pursue theological studies, earning a Bachelor of Theology Degree from a Bible College in Adelaide. His ministry began at Christies Beach, and he has since ministered extensively across Victoria, South Australia, and New South Wales, as well as regularly in India and P.N.G. Bible Colleges. Although retired, Tony’s influence continues through the extensive networks he established and through the many churches and pastors he has supported throughout his career. Known for his engaging teaching style, Tony has left a lasting impact on those he has taught and inspired.
