Healing In The Old Testament

When God made Adam and Eve in his image? he gave them a form that was a reflection of the divine. Built into that first human couple was a resemblance in physical form to the spiritual form of God. Their life came from God, their human personality, the laws of their existence, the nature of their minds, were all based on the divine pattern.

God created Adam and Eve in His divine image, gifting them with attributes resembling His own spiritual form. This allowed them to enjoy an unhindered relationship with God, resulting in boundless blessings (Ge 2:8-9). However, their rebellion led to their exile from the Garden and God’s immediate presence (Ge 3:23-24). Despite their fall, humanity’s inherent likeness to God remains, allowing divine communication. This connection has implications for health: humans were initially designed without disease due to their divine image, and even now, with our divine likeness, we possess the capacity for healing.
